Charlie helped to train me at Hess when I started in 1973,between us we had close to 70 years at Hess when we retired. Oh Charlie's laugh and all the good memories. They will never be forgotten. He would say to me,Hi Glen (almost a truck driver) cause he would mispronounce my last name. He would laugh then and so did I. You will be deeply missed Charlie. My thoughts and prayers go out to Charlie's family. Charlie was a good and honest man. I would tell Charlie, sorry Charlie but I didn't wash your truck yesterday cause it was raining,he would say-that's ok you can wash it twice next time and then his unique laugh. Rest in peace my friend.

Sincerely,Glen A Almas

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. It's always sad to hear this kind of news of someone we loved and knew for so long. My two sisters, cousins and I knew him from our childhood neighborhood. He was such a great guy. He kept in touch with all of his friends and family after we all grew up and he had moved away. He would be in Augusta to visit his Mother and would have to stop in on his old friends. Like everyone else our Mother looked forward to his visits. He will surely be missed by all of us. I can still hear that wonderful laugh he had and that big warm smile. My prayers go out to all of the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Charleys family. I worked with him for many years at Hess and considered him a friend. A lot of people will
miss him. Although I hadn't seen Charley in several years, I will remember him as a good and honest person and always laughing.

Sincerely,
Patsy Adkins
