Charles Paul Ferranti, Sr. N. CHARLESTON - CMSgt Charles Paul Ferranti, Sr., USAF Ret., 97, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 18, 2023. His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue at 11:00 am with military honors. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell at Beaufort National Cemetery, Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel. Charles was born February 17, 1926 in Masontown, PA, son of the late Camillo Ferranti and the late Louise Abbonizio Ferranti. He was a U.S. Air Force retired Chief Master Sergeant and received a Vietnam Service and Commendation Medal. Charles was a Civil Service Computer Analyst. He enjoyed dancing and swimming. He is survived by his son, Charles P. Ferranti, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; two daughters, Terry A. Mellott of Summerville, SC and Rebecca P. Gaither of Flower Mound, TX; four grandchildren: Kathleen Mellott, Bryan Gaither (Summer), Heather Cox, Brandy Gaither; four great-grandchildren: Kerra Cox, Georgia Gaither, Graham Gaither and Grant Gaither. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose Taylor Ferranti; daughter, Rose G. Ferranti and siblings: Dominic Ferranti, Anthony Ferranti, Joseph Ferranti, Mary Terry, and Celeste Mondello.
