A year ago this evening, I was with Beth when she received the sad news of her incredible Dad passing. Charles was one of the kindest men I´ve ever known. On this day, my friend and all of the Darby & Haizlip family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Charlie and I used to play some tennis together. What a personality! When we first started playing he gave me his business card. "Charles Darby: Tennis Player" I thought the world of Charlie. He was 13 years older, but with his heart and desire to winner the matches were always fun and very competitive. So, in addition to all his other accolades, I would say he was a great sportsman and a fun guy. I´ll bet he´s playing some great tennis in Heaven right now.

It is with great sadness to hear of Dr Charles Darby passing. Having worked in numerous areas of the Children's Hospital and Clinics I had the immense pleasure of being the Manager of the amazing Pediatrics Specialists and Primary Care. Loving, caring Pediatric Nurses and Staff always put the needs of the children and families first. Unable to summarize the exemplary Pediatric care under Dr Darby.
