Think of you often. You made the world a better place, and you helped me through some really hard times back in school. I've rarely met people as kind as generous as you. You are missed.

Thank you for the chess lessons and never letting me win. You made a tough year better than you could know

It is hard to believe it has been two years. As I read through past entries I only HOPE that when it is my time to leave this earth that I have positively impacted as many lives as Charlie did during his time here. Rest in peace my friend. We miss you!

I still remember the same line you would say every time we would see each other."Hey there buddy!", and "Alright Justin , I'll see you next Sunday!" But that last Sunday... I had no idea that this would happen. I still can barely believe it. I love you Dad, and I'll never forget you. Its been an honor having you here with us. Your son,signing off.

Charlie, my old friend, I am devistated to hear about you. We worked together at GCPD from 89 - 90. You were one of my first friends there and a truly genuine brother. My heart is broken. I still remember the flowers that you left for my wife and I when our first daughter was born. May God bless you and your family.

Charlie, I miss my friend, they way we would joke around as we worked out. It's been two weeks, but you left a lifetime of impressions, Thresa and I still say prayers for you. We stop by you dad's we talk good times. Charlie, your TRUE friend, true loves, TRUE family all miss you. you touched so many lives, a piece of you will always live on through us

Two weeks ago today I lost you my brother. I must move forward and let the tears flow from my heart. I hear your voice telling me "Happy -Happy-Happy"
I will not let anger take control over me for that the evil will not win. I will miss everything we have shared as being your baby sister. But my promise to YOU will stay strong. I love you and may you rest in peace.

How do you say good-by to 30 plus years of frindship? I am trying to adjust to life without having lunch with you 3 to 4 times a week just to discuss whatever was going on in our lives. If I could have taken the pain away, I would have. But now I must accept what has happen. My life will never be the same anymore because I've lost my brother. No more 3 am waffle runs, by my friend.

I didnt know him but he sounds like a wonderful guy, may he rest in peace.

Officer Aucoin was a great man and will be missed but not forgotten by all at Cane Bay.

We will never forget the amazing person Officer Aucoin was. This man helped me through SRM and CBHS with endless love and support and I am eternally grateful for that. To the Aucoin family you will be in my prayers.

Charlie...you were always helpful and dedicated. You were a great example for any SRO to follow. I still remember thinking how crazy you were to work an event for the school, only to donate the off duty pay back to the school. Cane Bay is a lonely place without their hero. Now...take a rest brother ...we got it from from here.

My prayers are with the family of Officer Aucoin. I worked with him at SRM and CBH and he was indeed a fine individual and will be missed! He really made a difference to the students that he worked with in BCSD.

My sympathy to the family. I worked with Charlie at SRM and found his style to be gentle and positive and usually he had a (grin) smile on his face. He was all about helping any who needed him above and beyond the call. My life was better because you were in it and you will be missed Charlie Acoin. I wish you peace in your heart...

There is no doubt in my mind that our world is a better place due to Charlie's commitment and dedication to the children of Berkeley County. I am sure there is a special place in heaven for those like Charlie who have given so much of themselves to help others. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.

My condolences to the Aucoin family and also to his wife, Dawn. We were fortunate that Dawn brought you into our lives. You were a part of our family for a very short time, but left a lasting impact on us all. Peace be with you.

Charlie, your smile was electric and you had a heart of gold. I did not know you well, nor for long but knew you during a very difficult time in my life and you always had a kind and uplifting word. You always told me "Keep smiling . . . I am". It's hard to smile right now knowing you are gone but you are probably in heaven shaking your finger at me to keep smiling so I will do my best. You will be missed.

Charlie was a kind man with a big heart. Over the years, he was a mentor to many students at Sangaree Middle, Cane Bay High,and Stratford High Schools. He always had the best interest of his students at heart and would lend a kind, caring ear if ever needed. We have lost a great person and our sympathies are with his family.

I have known you almost twenty years and I have no words to describe how much fun I had just talking with you. My the birth of Justin, the old days just saying hey with a smile, the time I asked the Officer to kill a snake and you were like you kill it! Chivalry won out and you killed it! Over the years I had not seen much of you, but that smile I will always remember. To your family all my deepest sympathy, to the rest of us the brightness of the sun has been diminished quite a bit.

Charlie was a sweet, kind, and thoughtful man. He was a great support to us here at Sangaree Middle School. I hope he knew how many lives he touched, how many kids he helped, and how he always made our days brighter. We miss him.

Charlie was a very unique individual...with a wonderful personality and contagious smile. My students and I will miss him very much. Know that he was truly loved!

My thoughts and prayers to Charlie's family. May you find some comfort knowing that he is with the Lord and reunited with his Mother. As this guest book will attest, Charlie was loved and will be missed by many.

It is with great sadness that I write this letter. I wish to express my deepest condolences to you in the loss of a great man and want you to know that he will be missed. Officer Aucoin was my school resource officer throughout middle school and my first year of high school at Sangaree and Cane Bay. He was always understanding and kind to all the students, constantly laughing and joking with us all. I'll never forget how he would give money to the students sometimes or would actually carry on conversations with us. Aucoin was one in a million and I'm so sorry that he's gone.
I don't know if you are religious people but since I am I want to let you know that Aucoin is in a better place. He is at peace and in the hands of the Lord. I have been and will continue to pray for you and everyone else suffering from his loss. Take joy in knowing that he is no longer suffering and that he was a good, kind, and caring man. Remember only the good times, not the bad.

Officer Aucoin was the best SRO ever, growing up he tought me alot, and even though we haven't talked in a while, i never forgot him. We're all sad over this but we know he's in a better place. I'll never forget all the laughs and just the great times we shared. Miss you forever.

Officer Aucoin was an amazing person. No matter what it was, if you needed something he was always there. I remember going to his office talking to him almost everyday. If I had a serious problem, he helped me solve it. He always had a smile on his face no matter what. I knew him since middle school and not once was he ever in a bad mood. Even if his day wasn't always going good he always made sure everyone else's was. he was always a brave person no matter what came his way. He will be missed very much and will always be loved but never forgotten.

He was my school resource officer at Sangaree Middle School all the years that I was there, and then when we left he moved up with us to Cane Bay. My name is Donnie Smith, I am the man that Officer Aucoin rescued from a burning house. Just by chance Officer Aucoin was passing thru my heighborhood and saw my home on fire. Officer Charles Aucoin was Gods instrument for taking me out of harms way. There is no way I could ever repay him for his bravery.

didn't know him to well,but the time i did know him he was a very good man and loved what he did with and for the kids .when my daughters who play for canebay told me my heart hurt for him.having him at the school made me feel safe knowing he was there for the good i'll miss him.

Officer Aucoin was such a positive influence on me through high school (Stratford c/o 2005). He helped me get through one of the hardest times in my life, thus far, and he will forever remain fondly in my memories. May he rest peacefully knowing that he has touched so many lives.

I am thankful for his service to our country, our community and to our children. He will be missed.
