Cephus Dennison, Jr. GEORGETOWN, SC - Mr. Cephus Dennison, Jr. was born on December 14, 1947, in Georgetown, SC, to the late Cephus Dennison Sr. and Pearl Morant Dennison. Affectionately known as C.J., he was the fifth born of eight siblings. On Tuesday December 27, 2022, C.J. was called home to eternal rest. Funeral Services were held on January 3, 2023, at Greater St. Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church, Georgetown, SC. Burial followed at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC. C.J. leaves to treasure his memory: his wife, Barbara Walker Dennison of Georgetown, SC; his children, Cali (Natasha) Dennison of Columbia, SC, Catayah (Kevin) Clark of Columbia, SC, and Tolvalyn Dennison of Falls Church, VA; his grandchildren, Brandon Godfrey, Jasmine Pearson, and S. Joshua Pearson; his siblings, Stephen Dennison, Otelia (Buster) Alston, Verdell (Joshua) Cuffee, Welmon (Geraldine) Dennison, Joyce McBride, Earl (Denise) Dennison Sr., and Harold (Kimberlee) Dennison; his only surviving aunt, Julia Dennison English of Philadelphia, PA; his mother-in-law, Margie Walker of Charleston, SC; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Pamela) Walker Sr. of Charleston, SC, and Raymond Walker of Charleston, SC; and sister-in-law, Cathy Walker of North Charleston, SC.
