Carol Poole Obituary

Don and the Family,
I am saddened to learn about Carol's passing away. I remember her well during our Gallaudet time. She always had been a sweet and easygoing person to talk and to be a friend with her. My condolence goes to you and your family.

I was very sorry to hear the passing away of Carol. I had hoped to see her during the class reunion two years ago, but unfortunately we missed each other. I had many good memories of Carol at Oral School and afterwards at Gallaudet. She was a great person with a sweet personality.

Carol was so sweet lady. We introduced by our friend at SCAD Convention in Charleston about 2 years ago. (Our friends (ladies luncheon and I really enjoyed having lunch with Carol every once a month since last year). We will miss her dearly and will always remember her. Carol, few friends and my family-in-law and my hubby really enjoyed spending time at the lake and had picnic together at Somerset Point. My prayer is with her and her family.

The Apostle Paul was speaking to the saints in Philippi trying to explain to them how badly he wanted to go and be with Christ, but he knew his work was not complete on earth so he accepted his calling. And I believe that your Mom, and wife, had completed the work she was called to do here on earth and it is quite evident that she did an outstanding job in raising three great people who I am sure will continue the work she embraced in building His Kingdom.

Philippians 1:21-26
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me.

Your Mom, and wife, IS now and forever more reaping her rewards beside her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She feels only JOY and PEACE.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. God makes many promises in His Word and He keeps them all. Trust in Him and He will take care of you!

My heart goes out to all of you. I know Carol was a brave person and courageous in her fight with cancer. I know that you will find strength in each other at this time. I worked with Carol at Department of Treasury, Bureau of Public Debt and Department of Justice before she and her family moved to South Carolina. I enjoyed working with her and she taught me alot. Right now I am a supervisor at Department of Justice because of her. She was really a "champion" person: easy to talk with, too sweet personalized and very special friend. And I will miss her! My thought and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I know that the Poole family is hurting right now, and that there is such a void in their lives. I ask you to be with them, comfort, and grant them peace in such a time of sorrow. We know that Carol is with you. If she could, she would tell them not to be sad because she is with you and is free from all pain.

Although Carol cannot be with us any longer on earth, we have a choice to be with her in heaven.
