Dear Meredith,
Thank you for the photo album in memory of Carol. It brought back to me her incredible "joie to vivre". She often reminisced about growing up in a very large family and all the crazy, funny things that happened. Your DVD wonderfully captured her vitality , and her deep love for her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

We met Carol and Henry after moving to Charleston. Our experiences with them were always a joy and usually connected to dining and wine. We had plans to travel with the Opiekuns. We were looking forward to upcoming travel and touring with Carol and Henry with great anticipation. Carol was always kind and generous as well as possessing a brilliant sense of humor. Our prayers and deepest sympathy to the Family and especially Henry. We know how devoted he was to Carol and how her passing has robbed them if many planned adventures and experiences as a loving couple. Rest in peace Carol. We know that you are resting in eternal life at the right hand of God.

Oh dear Carol, how I missed you when you moved from RI. And how I miss you now in a very different way. Our 40-plus year friendship is filled with wonderful stories and memories of tough times shared and happy times cherished. Meredith and Christopher, how fortunate you were to be loved so deeply by such a special Mom. Henry, I never saw Carol happier than when you came into her life. Be well, take care of each other, and know that your grief is shared by many, many others.

Carol is Jamie's first cousin..... we have so many memories of Carol but the one that stands out the most is how she called us whenever she was in Denver. We would go to lunch and talk for hours. She was our main link to the Borbee's so she caught us up on everything happening in the Borbee family. We always looked forward to her visits and will miss her loving, smiling amazing personality. We admired her so much but especially at the end of her life when she never complained about her pain even though we knew she was suffering. We are so happy to contribute to her scholarship fund.

So sorry to hear of Carol's death. After moving to RI in the 1970's Carol and I discovered we both attended Queen of the Rosary Academy on Long Island. We then connected in many ways within nursing circles. She was a strong and loving mother, an equally strong and committed nurse leader and great company! May she rest in peace. My sympathy to all of her family members, a big loss, too soon.

Carol was my head nurse in the home care department at Woman and Infants Hospital. It was my best job in that department and Carol was the major factor. She was famous for her Boboli Pizzas she would make you could always count on her for that. She was probably one of the smartest women I knew and one of the kindest. I was so happy she found love from her husband later in life. When she left Woman and Infants the hospital was never the same without her. I remember when I applied for the job and being a union hospital I was offered the position although 8 months pregnant lol! I´m sure she must have said oh great I have the pregnant one. She gave me a beautiful baby shower with all of the girls. I was so sad to hear of her passing but I´m sure she is running around in heaven as she had at the hospital. She never stopped and she spread happiness wherever she went. I´m so sorry for the family it is such a huge loss. Im very sorry I cannot say my goodbyes to her but she will be forever in my
