It's been 9 years. I still miss her as much today as I did then. I think of her often and when I find my self in different situations, I always ask what would Mom do?

She had a wonderful intellect and Beautiful laugh.

I miss her company, joy, sadness, wise words (I was always getting the lecture when I was young), I miss her everything.

I love her, She was/is - Mom.

I can still hear your voice. You always knew when I needed to talk to you and I know that that's why I've felt you near me these past few weeks. Te quiero mucho, mami, y me hace mucha falta. El dolor es fresco. Tu hija siempre, Luisa

I wrote this for grandma after spending hours tryig to find some elses words to
describe how I felt about my wonderful grandma.. I miss you so much... and
will never forget.. our time together.. huggs and kisses... Chelsey and all though they
never knew you.. Dustin, William Conrad and Jackson Daniel.

Grandma had spot.. A place she'ld always be.
Carving, and painting.. and always planting those seeds.

You rember the things that only a grandma can teach,
Like how to be warm... humble and sweet.

The smell of her jungle juice...her shoes.. and her hair..
How everything she did.. it was always done with care.

Oh to rember the little things..
there in the kitchen is where she would be...

Not always with something grand to say
Sometimes she would just sit there and pray.

Writing little notes for everyone to see..
or teaching you a lesson..
about love and life
and in her own special way,
The birds and the bees.

Looking back now we all long to have
just one more moment
one more thing..
To her is where we want to cling.

But heavy in our hearts we all know and dread...
That Grandma is what we want,
Grandma we want see...
It's just not meant to be..

With the whisper of the wind.. the warmth of the sun
the scury of criters.. the children having fun
The laughter in the air... the sorrow in the sigh...
Will bring us to remember we must say goodbye..

to touch would be grand...
the feeling of her hands..

For her always to know..
to always understand....

That we'll always love you,
We are your biggest fans.
This isn't a goodbye
Its an.. until next time..

Though sometimes it may not have shown...
We love you Grandma...
Always have and Always will...
May you bless our everday.. with the joy and memories
You helped to create.

I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain;

I am the gentle Autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush.

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there;

I did not die.

She never closed her eyes in sleep,
Till we were all in bed.
On party nights when we stayed out,
She often sat and read.
We little thought about it then,
When we were young they say.
How much our mothers worried,
While we children were away.

Why sometimes when we stayed out,
Till one, or two, or three.
It seemed that mother always heard,
The turning of the key.
For always when we got back home,
She'd call, and we'd reply.
But we were all too young back then,
To know the reason why.

Until the last one had come home,
She'd always keep a light.
For she could not sleep until,
She knew we were alright.
She had to know that we were safe,
Before she went to rest.
For she feared the world might harm,
The ones she loved the best.

Someday, she said, when you have grown
To women and to men,
Perhaps I'll sleep the whole night through,
It may be different then.
Then came the night when we were called,
To gather around her bed.
Your children are all with you now,
The kindly doctor said.

In her eyes gleamed
That old time, tender light.
Which told us she'd been waiting,
Just to know we were alright.
She smiled that old familiar smile,
And prayed to God to keep.
Us safe from harm, throughout the years,
And then (pause) She went to sleep

Thinking about my Mom, seems Like I'm still in a bad dream I can't awake from. I think about her everyday. In the 38 years I have been on the planet, this is the longest I have gone without seeing her. I miss her very much.

I see something in a store and I think, hmmm, mom would really like that. Then I remember and it feels like someone's knocked the air out of me and the empty hole that mom's passing left is going to swallow me. Mom was my link to mami (grandma) and now they're both gone. Then I remember that mom did leave me several precious gifts. A wonderful dad (Mike), and John, Mikey, Jackie, Kim, Tamara, Jason, and Wick. I love you all dearly and I'm proud to call you my family. I see moms qualities in each of you and it helps to ease the emptiness.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
