I'm missing my friend today and every day. I love you, girl.

In a few days it will be 3 years since the world lost an amazing woman. It still doesn't seem real that your gone. In the years that I worked with you, you taught me so many things and we grew very close. I miss all of our phone calls we shared back and forth when I started college and I miss all of your advice. I think about you everyday. I love and miss you Brooke.

Thinking of you and the good times we shared. I will see you in heaven someday darlin but until then you live in my heart.

Thinking of Brooke today. A beautiful person inside & out. You are missed.

Can't believe its almost been 2 years. I miss all the Hammock Shop moments. It still isn't the same without her there. She always looked after me while we were working and she became my Hammock Shop mom. On super slow days we would stand there and eat snacks and talk about everything. She always said I reminded her of a younger her. I definitely miss the phone calls we shared just talking about life when I first went away to college. Brooke knew me and my best friend Chris would become more than friends and she thought he was perfect for me. I just wish she was here to see that she was right and see how happy we are together, but I know she is looking down on us and saying "finally it took you two long enough" lol. I looked up to her so much and I'm so glad she was a part of my life for the years that she was. I miss and love you Brooke everyday!

Superbowl Sunday brings back the terrible memory of losing Brooke. She was one of the best friends I've ever had.

It's almost been a year and I still can't believe that you are gone. The Hammock Shop wasn't the same without you this past summer. I miss us letting the customers think we were mother and daughter all the time haha. But you really did become like a mother to me. I miss all our phone calls catching up with each other when I went off to college last year and talking about my boy problems and getting amazing advice from you and talking about just life in general. I looked up to you so much and I'll never forget the bond we made at the Hammock Shop. I'll never forget you! I know you are looking down on me from heaven and looking over me. I miss you everyday and love you!

I am so sorry to hear the terrible news. Brooke was a beautiful girl inside and out. I lost my best friend 2 weeks ago and received a quote from a friend that gave me great comfort. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." I hope it helps you also.

Brooke and I were in high school together in NC. Everyone who knew her back then is deeply saddened to learn she has been taken from us. We were all fortunate to have been touched by Brooke’s beauty, kindness, and her life giving spirit. May God grant His everlasting peace to Brooke, and I pray for comfort for her family and her many friends through this most difficult time.

Brooke was such a kind, caring, loving INDIVIDUAL. She had a knack of viewing life and expressing herself that very few people possess. She was not your cookie cutter kind of gal and we all loved her for who she was. I feel priveledged that she was a friend. We've had some great times and I'm sure she's stirring things up a bit in heaven. : )

To the Hawkins Family~ Thanks for bringing Brooke into our world. May happy memories carry you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was fortunate to spend time with Brooke at Christmas. We decorated her tree and had a wonderful visit. All of us here at Dunes were looking forward to her returning to work for the upcoming season. She kept us entertained with her lighthearted view of life. We all will miss her greatly.

I am so sadden by your sudden loss, Susu and Cliff. Brooke leaves behind memories of a strong, compassionate spirit with such a love of life. Her creativity and outgoing nature made her one of a kind. I was fortunate to have known her.

It is amazing how fast the time goes by and how far apart friends become but believe me even though there is a distance somewhere in the back of our busy and crazy lives we now live there are memories...good and bad. I know Brooke will be missed by so many because of who she was. She had an ora around her and that was just one of the things that made her special. I haven't seen Brooke since she and Clif and Masumi were all living in Charleston, and Brooke was working at Poe's on Sullivan's Island. Whether in Charleston or at The Inlet, she always had a pretty smile and a dynamic personality. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
