Bradley Beck Obituary

Bradley Stewart Beck SUMMERVILLE - Bradley Stewart Beck, 70, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 with his family at his bedside. Brad was born July 23, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, one of six children, to the late Charles Henry Beck and the late Frances Beck. After serving in the United States Army, he had a successful career in the utility industry, retiring from Sumter Utilities. He took pride in his career and truly enjoyed the friendships he made with his co-workers. Brad was a Porsche enthusiast, an avid golfer, and enjoyed home remodeling. Brad was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was greatly loved and our times and memories together will be treasured forever. Brad is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Diana (Crum) Beck: daughters, Jennifer Gibson and her husband, Paul, and Elizabeth Beck and her companion, Joe Titus; one very loved grandson, Charles Bradley Gibson, who brought great joy to his later years. Brad also left behind many family and friends who will miss him dearly. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Emory Hospital and Winship Cancer Institute for their excellent care and compassion. Diana, Jennifer and Betsy: We were so saddened to find out recently about Brad's death. We have such wonderful memories of all of you as our neighbors. We had some fun times. Our memory of neighbor Brad and more recently when we would run into him around town was of a happy, smiley and kind man. You are a strong and generous family. Our prayers are with you.

To the Beck Family,

I am so sorry to hear about Brad's passing - he really was a special guy. You were all very lucky to have him so close for so many years. I will never forget my experiences and conversations with him. I can't put a finger on it - but I felt we had a special connection. Maybe he made everybody feel that way? What a guy. Wish I would have gotten to say goodbye.

Much love,

Jose (son)

Brad Beck, a life well spent on his family and others.
Anyone that knew him, loved him and was encouraged by his warm loving spirit.
He came into my life when I was 12 and never left my heart. He was more like my brother than a brother in law.
I can't image how life goes on without him, but know he is finally at rest.
So proud of his girls... "Jenny" and "Besty"! What a blessing you are to your parents. And now to Your Mother as she finds her way with out her ONE and only "Brad".
I am sorry Charles and I are unable to be there but Know you are loved and in my prayers. Aunt Pauline Mount Vernon OH

To the Family of Brad Beck,

So very sorry to hear of Brads passing. My brothers and I along with many boyhood friends remember Brad very fondly.
As teenagers Brad and the rest of us spent a lot of time trying to make every car we had go as fast as we could. Brad always seemed to have the ability to get the most out of his cars.
He always had a great sense of humor and was quick with a joke.

May God bless your family in this trying time.
May Brad rest in peace.
