Beverly Lane Obituary

Beverly Glover Lane CHARLESTON - Beverly Glover Lane died peacefully on April 27, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 28, 1922 to Kathleen and Charles Glover. She married Hugh Comer Lane on November 20, 1946. She is survived by her sister, Tunky Summerall, her four children; Hugh Comer Lane Jr. and wife Croft, Beverly Jost and husband Peter, Kathy Schenck and Husband Weldon, and Charles Lane and wife Virginia, twelve wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She had an open and inquisitive mind until the end. She loved reading, art, music, nature and people. She was very grateful for her life and loved her family and friends. The family will receive friends at 47 East Bay Street on May 1 from 5-7 pm. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Powder Magazine, 79 Cumberland Street, Charleston, SC 29401, the Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401, or Ashley Hall School, 172 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403.
