Bessie Lewis Obituary

Bessie Moultrie Lewis CHARLESTON - BESSIE MOULTRIE LEWIS (known as Dee Dee), 65, of Charleston, SC, passed away on April 1, 2022. She was born in Charleston on December 2, 1956. She was one of five children from her parent,s John and Persephone Moultrie. She leaves behind her two sons, Keith Lewis and Kevin Lewis; her two grandsons, Kenzo Oyo-Lewis and Olu Oyo-Lewis; her brother, James Moultrie, and her very good friend of many years, Mark Smith. Dee Dee enjoyed listening to classic R&B from the 60s, 70s and 80s. She also enjoyed eating and making seafood with her sons. May she rest in eternal peace. The funeral will be on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2:00pm at Suburban Funeral Home, 2336 Meeting Street Road, North Charleston, SC. The burial will be at Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery.
