Benjamin McKelvey CHARLESTON - Mr. Benjamin McKelvey, 77, of Charleston, SC, husband of the late Mrs. Lucille McKelvey, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 3, 2022. Graveside services celebrating his life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Payne Memorial Gardens, 1 Grimball Rd., Charleston, SC 29412. A public viewing will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. He is survived by his loving son, Samuel McKelvey; grandchildren: Makeya McKelvey, Lorine Campbell, William Campbell, Jr., and Devondra Matthews; siblings: John McKelvey (Marilyn), Henry McKelvey, Pauline Ladson (James Herman), and Julia Washington (Priestly), and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Esau McKelvey and Julia Watson Fludd McKelvey, and his son, Donnell McKelvey. Family and friends may visit at 1076 Honey Hill Rd., Charleston, SC 29412.
