Beatrice Stief Obituary

Beatrice Adams Stief Mt. Pleasant - Beatrice Adams Stief, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Seabrook Island, SC and Charleston, WV, died on October 14, 2022 in Mount Pleasant. She was 99 years old. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. She was born in Westbury, Long Island, New York on September 27, 1923 and was the youngest child of British parents, Sidney Adams and Helen Forbes Adams. Mrs. Stief was a homemaker and a former executive secretary. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, playing bridge, and gardening. She was predeceased in 2018 by her husband of 72 years, Robert D. Stief. She is survived by her two daughters, Audrey Bernstein (Alan) of Seabrook Island, SC, and Nancy Douglas (Bart) of Terre Haute, IN. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Andrew Bernstein (Amelia), Katherine Douglas, John Douglas (Caitlin), and Caroline Bernstein. Five great-grandchildren also survive, Hayes, Rhodes, and Beatrice Bernstein, Luca Schalaudek, and Emma Douglas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date where she will be buried beside her husband at Riverview Memorial Cemetery in Russell Township, OH.
