Avrum Silver Obituary

Many times I have wished I could speak with Dr Silver in the past eight years. I miss him dearly. What a blessing he was.

Avie became a close friend when were both graduate students in Psychology at Ohio University. Having visited Canada as a child, Avie built upon my experiences and helped me to understand Canadian culture as well as becoming just a great friend in every sense of the word. He was a remarkably warm and accessible human being whom I never forgot after we went our separate ways.

I miss him every day.

Avie, I think of you fondly every day. And I think of your family and their loss.

It was with great sadness, that today, I just learned of the passing of Dr. Avrum Silver. He has been a great source of help, comfort and advice over many years. Please accept my condolences on the loss of such a wonderful man, doctor and friend. I know his family will miss him, but I pray they take comfort in knowing he was so liked and loved by so many.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Silver as I know the loss you must surely feel, as I lost my husband just a couple years ago. Dr. Silver was there for me during much of my grief. May you be comforted by your children and grandchildren and all who loved Dr. Silver.

You were blessed to have him in your lives.

Words cannot express the sadness. The world is a better place because you walked in it. Dr Silver taught me to look at the world in a way that made me a better person as well as a better wife and mother. Thank you for leaving this world a better place than you found it.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Debbie always spoke so highly of Avie and the special relationship they shared. It is clear from the words written, that he was someone who left an indelible mark on those lucky enough to have known him. May his memory be a blessing.

I will never forget Avie. He will live in my heart forever and I will think of him every day. He was a great comfort to me throughout my life, as I'm certain he was to many others. He was a kind and loving and gentle soul. My deepest condolences to Gilberte, Michael, Robbie, Jonna, Ashlyn, Hannah and Austin. You were blessed to have him in your lives.

In his professional life , Avie upheld the highest ethical and moral practice standards. As a business partner he was a man of honor and integrity. As a friend, he was like a brother. Three generations of our family knew and loved him. We will always miss him and cherish fond memories of time spent with him, Gilberte and their family.

Lewis and I were saddened to learn of Avie's passing last week. Your family has always been so kind to us. Avie will be remembered for always being upbeat, kind and patient with everyone. He was a sweet man and will be missed by many. Just imagine - he is dancing with Yeshua in Heaven right now! It is our prayer that you all can take comfort that Avie no longer suffers any physical pain. We have loved seeing all of the pictures posted by Michael and Robbie on Facebook the last few days. This world has lost an amazing compassionate man. He helped my family through several of life's crisis's and misdirections. My sincere condolences to his family. I regret I am out of state and cannot attend his memorial. I remain blessed he crossed my path. He lives in my soul.
