Aunt Arleen was a person with high ethical and moral standards. Not only did she attempt to set a good example of the value of having a work ethic with focused attention for God and country, she understood equally the lived experience of exhibiting mercy and compassion for the marginalized through not only praying constantly for others but also doing her best with charitable donations through her church for the benefit of the community of faith.
She always thought of others before herself; this thinking of others through the daily discipline of prayer contributed significantly in decreasing the amount of pain not only in communities far from her home but also in her personal sphere of influence among family and friends, her Catholic community and anyone she happened to run into in any type of brokenness; she not only understood the concept of all people being a part of a shared humanity -all of her work and life was hidden and anonymous because of her personal attributes of humility and eternal sense of gratitude for having had the life and love for the Lord as a woman truly in love with God. Aunt Arleen was a woman of temperance, and a perfect example of what is means to carry your cross as a responsible human trying to make herself a quiet example of how to live a Christian life. May her inspiration be with us for a long time as to what each of us needs to do to love others as committed Catholics in a world in need of healing and committed Christians doing the work daily for the greater glory of God.

I am sorry I can´t be with the family at this time. She was a dear long-time friend and one that I will miss very much. She is in my rosary every day.
