Anne Sparks Obituary

Anne Wylie Sparks LANDSDALE, PA - Anne Wylie Sparks, 65, a long-time resident of Lansdale, PA, formerly of North Charleston, SC, died peacefully in her home on July 13, 2010. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of Helen Childers Wylie of Folly Beach, SC, and the late Samuel E. Wylie. She graduated from Gordon H. Garrett High School in 1962 and received her Bachelor of Arts from Furman University in Greenville, SC in 1965. Mrs. Sparks taught French for more than 25 years in the North Penn School District until retiring in 2007. After retiring she became an active volunteer in local community organizations and especially enjoyed being a part of her social French group. She was a member of Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, in Landsdale, PA. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Christopher D. Sparks and his wife, Audrey of East Coventry, PA and Deborah L. Sparks and her fiance;, David E. Sparks, of North Coventry, PA. Her funeral services were held Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 24, 2010, at eleven o'clock in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
