Anne Crawford Obituary

Anne Crawford Bonneau, SC - Anne Brown Crawford, 82, of Bonneau, SC, a retired Export Controller for Chargeurs Wool USA, died Tuesday morning at the Roper Hospice Cottage.Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon, September 18, 2021, in the St. Stephen Christian Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. Mrs. Crawford was born March 8, 1939 in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of Jesse H. "Red" Brown, Sr., and Mary Henson Brown. She was a member of the St. Stephen Christian Church and attended Coker College. Mrs. Crawford was a former Branch Manager of SCN Bank (formerly the Bank of Berkeley), which she left in order to work with her husband at their family business, Crawford's Supply & Lumber Co. In the early 80s, she began her career at the Santee River Wool Combing Co., which later became Chargeurs Wool USA, prior to her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitching and reading. She was also an avid Clemson fan. Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse H. "Red" Brown, Jr., and was the widow of John Payne Crawford, Sr., to whom she was married for 62 years. Surviving are her two daughters, Jo Anne Noack of Mt. Pleasant, and Allison Crawford of Summerville; a son, John P. "Jay" Crawford, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Anna Grace Crawford, Phoebe Elizabeth Crawford, and John P.
