Anna Fouch Hatcher HAMPTON, SC - Mrs. Anna Matilda Fouch Hatcher, 92, of Lightsey St. in Hampton died peacefully at her home Sunday October 9th, 2011. She was the widow of Mr. J.P. "Phil" Hatcher. Born August 6th, 1919 in Brownsville, MD she was the daughter of the late David Burnside Fouch and Laura Elizabeth Jennings Fouch. Mrs. Hatcher was a homemaker and longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Hampton. Her family was associated with the Hampton Coca Cola Bottling Company for many years. She is survived by sons: Austin (Rachael), David (Susan), and Jerry all of Hampton, and one daughter Bonnie Owen (Harold) of Augusta, GA. There are also eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren as well as many "adopted" family members. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning October 12th, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Hampton conducted by the Rev. Paul Creason and the Rev. Kenneth Word and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry St. West, Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning until 10 a.m. when the casket will be placed in the church prior to the service.
