Andrew and I attended law school together. As two "Gr" last names, we were often lined up together, especially in our first year. He was friendly and kind and made me laugh with his sly wit. Any time I saw him in court, he always put a smile on my face. I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear of his untimely passing. He will be so missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

Andrew will truly be missed by everyone. He was a true champion to the defense of his clients and always tried his best even when cases weren't going his way. You could always count on Andrew to go beyond the call of duty. I will truly miss Andrew, not seeing him at a Preliminary Hearing or fighting for a client downtown. Andrew, I am honored to have known you over these countless years and our judicial system and community has lost a very special person. God Bless you Andrew Grimes.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of Andrew's family. Andrew was my second lawclerk at the circuit court and a friend. He had a brilliant mind and a sharp witty nature. He was never afraid to speak his mind nor would he back down when he felt he was right. He cared about his family and friends so much. As for his clients, he gave them the best legal representation and support possible. He argued cases with confidence and integrity and was always candid with judges and lawyers. He was a mentor to so many lawyers and was always willing to help anyone. The justice system has lost a true hero and Andrew will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We will never forget the memories of his thoughtfulness, his demeanor, and his dedication, nor the causes he so tirelessly pursued.
