George Rush Jr.

Unfortunately I am unable to attend the services. In 1984, Mr. Meggett helped me prepare for the Jr. Olympics. I won the championship that year, but most of all I gained a friend. I have always appreciated the work he poured into me and the many other young men in that gym and will never forget him. Rest In Peace Sir.

To the Family of Albert (Hollywood) Meggett,
My Husband and I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to you at a time such as this. A very common man that was an inspiration to young men far and near.
We are grateful for the role Hollywood played in helping to prepare our son George Rush, Jr. to bring home the first Boxing Gold Medal in the National Junior Olympics in 17 years to the State of South Carolina.
We will never forget his kindness, and we know that he was an inspiration to many young men who crossed his path, our son was one of them.
Heaven has gained an Angel, named "Hollywood".
