She loved the open road, where horizons whispered her name and every journey promised a new story. Suitcase in hand, heart wide open, she chased sunsets, cities, and dreams, never afraid to go where joy might be found. She loved the gathering of people, the laughter in crowded rooms, the music of voices rising in celebration. In every social moment, she carried warmth like sunlight, turning ordinary spaces into places of belonging.

On Sunday January 01, 2026; God in His infinite wisdom, called daughter Mrs. Patricia Norton-Carter, 78, of Summerville, South Carolina from labor to reward.

Celebration of Life for Mrs. Norton-Carter will be on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at 11 AM, Ebenezer AME Church

Viewing for Mrs. Norton-Carter will be on Tuesday February 10, 2026 from 10-11 AM only at Ebenezer AME Church. There will be no viewing on Monday or on Tuesday after the service.

Interment will be private

The most precious memories of Mrs. Norton-Carter will resound in the life of her beloved son; Derrick E. (Jacquetta D.) Norton, grandchildren; Darien Norton, Teontra Nesbitt, Davon DeVore, Danyelle DeVore and Dontae DeVore. A host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
