William Alan Hay, Sr.
AIKEN, SC - William Alan Hay, Sr. entered into heaven with his Savior on June 29th after a terrible battle with a lung disease.
Alan was born in Aiken on August 2nd 1946 to the late Stanley Nield Hay and Esther Richardson Hay. He was a 1964 graduate of Aiken High School where he played basketball from 1962-1964. He had a deep love and respect for his teammates and his coach, Jim Fraser.
He is survived by his loving wife Shannon of 46 years, and son William Alan Hay II (Michelle), a loving sister Helen Freiday (Don), two dear brothers, Stanly Nield Hay Jr. ('Cille), and James H. Hay. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Abigail Hay (Brandon), and Chandler Gaines, as well as three great-grandchildren, Kyrie Adkins, Matthew Gorham, and Brandon Adkins.
Alan was a lifelong member of Town Creek Baptist Church, where he served as an ordained deacon, Church Training Director, and Sunday School Director
He taught Sunday School there for over 15 years, and counted it an honor to share the Scripture lessons with his many wonderful friends.
The family will receive visitors at Town Creek Baptist Church at 2 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016 with the service following at the church at 4 PM. There will be a private service at the gravesite for his family.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Town Creek Baptist Church Go Fund (missions), at 250 Town Creek Rd. Aiken, SC 29803.

So Sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Hay from when I was a kid attending Town Creek and I always thought highly of him. He was a good man and I am sure everyone has as fond memories of him as I do.
