Vicki Brown Obituary
AIKEN - A graveside service for Mrs. Vicki Kirkland Brown, age 70, will be held 1:00 PM Thursday March 2, 2023 at Southlawn Cemetery with Pastor Julian Boles officiating. Mrs. Brown entered into rest on Monday February 27, 2023 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
She was the beloved wife of Mr. Clyde "Rusty" Brown and the daughter to the late Mr. Adlai Kirkland and the late Mrs. Louise Gleaton Kirkland. Mrs. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a Christian and a member of South Aiken P.H. Church, but grew up in New Holland Baptist Church. She worked at SRS as a laborer for 6 years, retiring in 1982. Her hobbies included cooking and looking for antiques.
Survivors include: one son Joshua (Amber) Kirkland Brown, Columbia; one daughter Kippy Lynn (Jonathan) Widener, Wagener; one brother Mitch (Gina) Kirkland, New Ellenton; four grandchildren Dustin (Morgan) Waller, Alexis (Kwon Paige) Waller, Braelynn Widener, and Landon Brown; and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
