Travis Edward 'Moon' Smith
WARRENVILLE - Mr. Travis "Moon" Smith, 73, beloved husband of Mrs. Linda Randolph Smith for 51 years, entered into rest on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6 until 9 at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson David Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 2 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors accorded the the United States Army honor guard will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Barry Smith, Tim Smith, Lester Smith, Mike Wheat, Travis Wheat, and Sam Whatley. Mr. Smith was born in Langley, SC. He proudly and with honor served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from International Paper with 37 years of service and was a member of Langley United Methodist Church. Travis liked to hunt and fish and he loved Westerns but most of all he loved spending time with his grandbabies.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Mercer Archie and Lucille Thompson Smith, his sister and brother-in-law, Daisy Diane Smith Arrington (Ernest), and his brothers, Lester Ronnell Smith and Larry Smith.
Left to cherish his memory with his wife Linda are his sons: Chad Smith (Stephanie), of Fort Mill, SC and Randy Smith (Karyn), of South Mills, NC; his sister, Bonnie Whatley ( the late Sam), of Beech Island, SC; four grandchildren: Brayden Smith, Barrett Smith, Sydney Smith, and Landon Smith and his sister-in-laws, Louise Smith and Shirley Smith.
