Thomas Robinson Obituary
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Thomas E. Robinson, 69, who entered into rest May 10, 2016, will be celebrated Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Fr. Lou Lindsey celebrant. Interment will be held Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, Irwin, PA at a later date.
Mr. Robinson was a native of Everson, Pennsylvania, having made North Augusta his home for the past 27 years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and volunteer with Community Ministries of North Augusta. Mr. Robinson was a graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA and earned a Master's Degree from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. He retired from Westinghouse with over 30 years of service in Pittsburgh, PA, Idaho Falls, ID and Aiken, SC. Mr. Robinson received the first Procurement Integrity Award by the DOE, founded and served as president of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) in the CSRA, was named a NCMA Fellow for contributions to his field of contract management and established a chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) in North Augusta.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Aileen Robinson; a son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Danielle Robinson, South Bend, IN; a daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Brad Pond, North Augusta, SC; a brother, John Robinson, Everson, PA; eight grandchildren, John Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Anna Robinson, Michael Robinson, Andrew Pond, Garrett Pond, Miles Pond and Luke Pond; two nephews, Derek Robinson and Alan Young; two nieces, Shelley Minnick and Leslie Mildenberg.
A Rosary service for the deceased will be held Thursday evening at 6 o'clock at the funeral home followed by visitation until 8.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, 1420 Monte Sano Ave, Augusta, GA 30904 or to Community Ministries of North Augusta, 646 E. Buena Vista Ave, North Augusta, SC 29841.
