AIKEN - Mr. Thomas Allen "Tommy" Johnson, 64, beloved husband of Darlene Parker Johnson, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 21, 2022.
Born in Port Lavaca, TX, Tommy was the son of the late Frank Allen and Peggie Tyler Johnson. He was a lifelong Aiken County resident. Tommy retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 37 years of service. He was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, cars and watching baseball. He and his family loved spending time together at the beach. Tommy will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Patrick Allen Johnson, Aiken, Phillip Brandon Johnson, Aiken; three grandchildren, Brandon Gabriel Johnson, Luke Allen Johnson, Rachel Deree Johnson; one sister, Debra Johnson (Doug) Powell, Augusta, GA; one brother, Frank Tyler Johnson, Couchton, SC; a sister-in-law, Sherrie Johnson of New Ellenton, SC and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Nursery at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29805.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 25, 2022 at Shellhouse Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801
