Steve Allen Sharpe
WAGENER, S.C. - Mr. Steve Allen Sharpe, 56, entered into rest on Friday, August 1st, 2014, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Summerville, S.C., he had been a resident of Wagener, SC most of his life and graduated from Wagener-Salley High School in 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Steve had formerly been a deputy with Kingstree Police Department, Aiken County Sheriff's Department and Wagener Police Department. At the time of his death, he was a Maintenance Mechanic with Dixie-Narco. Steve loved riding his Harley and was a member of the Dixie Thunder Chapter of ABATE. More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Belvedere Church of God.
Steve is survived by his parents, Cornelius and Dorothy Smoak Sharpe, Clearwater, SC; daughter, Sara Sharpe (Steven, Jr.) Randazzo, North Augusta, SC and grandchildren, Stephen Blackwell, Hailey Blackwell, Drake Randazzo, Karli Blackwell and Abigail Randazzo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Denny Haston officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Steve Randazzo, Sr., Oral "Pokey" Sharpe and members of the Area ABATE Dixie Thunder Chapter.
It has been requested by the family that memorials be made to The Dixie Thunder Down Rider Funeral c/o Steve Steiner, 411 Tennessee Ave., New Ellenton, SC 29809.
