Ronnie Swancey Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Mr. Ronnie W. Swancey, 46, entered into rest on Saturday, January 30th, 2016.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a Self-Employed Carpenter. Ronnie enjoyed game fowl breeding and NASCAR. His favorite driver was #6 Mark Martin. He was an avid Tiger fan and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley.
Family members include his parents, Linda Moyer and William O. "Billy" Swancey and his wife, Nanette, all of Aiken, SC, sons, Ronnie Swancey, VA and Ryan and Brandon, Swancey, both of Aiken, SC; siblings, Tina Creech and her husband, Jeremy, Aiken, SC, the late Tammy Glanton and the late Pansy Jones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 5th, 2016, at 4 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Bryan Widener officiating. Ronnie will be cremated following the service.
Due to his love for animals, if so desired, the family has asked that memorials be made to the SPCA. (www.letlovelive.org)
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 o'clock at HATCHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, LANGLEY, SC.

The very BEST day I remember spending with my brother was an afternoon he taught me how to grill BBQ chicken on charcoal. He told me to always boil the chicken first (to ensure tenderness)......
To this day, I always tell my husband to boil the chicken first. lol!
That afternoon with my brother is a priceless memory. I've never had a piece of BBQ chicken that tasted better. He was such a Fantastic cook! Loved & missed. -Tina

Billy and Family, we are truly saddened over the loss of Ronnie. He will be missed by many. Seems like only yesterday we were all just teenagers in the streets of Aiken and the thought of any of us being a parent never entered our minds. The thought of losing a child was never a thought. Ronnie leaves much for his family to be proud of. Enjoy the past, Treasure the memories in the future.
