Robert Taylor Obituary

Robert E. Taylor, age 87, of East Tawas died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at the home of his daughter.
He was born April 12, 1922, in Hume Township, Huron County, the son of Edward and Anna (Cox) Taylor. Mr. Taylor was retired from Bopp-Busch Manufacturing in Tawas, where he worked for over 20 years.
He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in East Tawas.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Jake) Huitema of East Tawas and Roberta "Bobbie" (Fred) Roulo of East Tawas; six grandchildren, Kelley Edmonds, Colleen Kruttlin, John Roulo, Bob Roulo, Charles Huitema and Matt Huitema; 17 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Duane (Lorraine) Taylor of Caseville; two sisters, Lois Jean Roulette of Hazel Park and Neita Braun of Bad Axe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, on Dec. 15, 2004; and by two sisters, Mildred and Betty.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 16, 11:30 a.m., at Christ Episcopal Church with Fr. Daniel Cannon officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 202 W. Westover St., East Tawas, Michigan 48730, or Hospice of Angelic Care, P.O. Box 33, Tawas City, Michigan 48764. Arrangements are by Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home, Tawas City.
