HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Raiford Charles Dunbar, Jr., age 72, husband of Hester R. Dunbar for 42 years, father of Raiford III and Richard, of 2002 Walton Farms Drive, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at AU Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, December 14, 2022 (Viewing 10-11 AM) at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 130 Independent Blvd, Aiken, SC 29803 with Rev. C.A. Scott Pastor. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Friends may call the residence or visit JACKSON-BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 126 Fairfield St, SE, Aiken, SC Tuesday from 3-8 PM.

My aunt Ann Worrall and I were extremely saddened to hear of Raiford's sudden passing. He was like family around the neighbors on Old Jackson Hwy. I used to tease him with: "Raiford you ole scudder - you've got more money than God, why do you keep working so hard?? He'd laugh and say so he could get my Christmas cookies. I also would reprimand him about his old truck. His argument was that it served him just fine as long as it could go to the "hospital" once in awhile!

Bless his heart!! He has always been such a sweet gentleman!!!! I have know him my whole life!! His Daddy use to pick my Mama's trash up Prayers for his family and friends! He will be greatly missed!
