Patricia Carlisle
AIKEN - Patricia Alley Carlisle passed away after a brief illness on September 9, 2023.
Born February 10, 1957 in Aiken, Patricia was born to the late Jack and Jon Alley of Aiken, SC and Burnsville, NC.
Patricia graduated from Aiken High School with the class of 1975. Many of the friendships forged there remained with her for life. She attended both Clemson University and USCA. While at Clemson, Patricia was a member of the Tiger Twirling Team, in addition to tallying 54 jumps as a member of the Clemson Skydiving Club.
Patricia retired from Life Cycle Engineering as a senior technical editor.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, raising chickens, collecting crystals, and observing and studying celestial events such as meteor showers, eclipses, and planetary movements. Patricia loved deep, philosophical discussions about God and life. She loved her family and friends very much.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by an infant brother, Jay.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 30 years C. Michael Carlisle of Aiken, sons David Carlisle (Alexis) of Ladson, SC, Daniel Carlisle (Tessa) of Batesburg, SC, grandchildren Corinne Carlisle and Hampton Carlisle of Ladson, SC, and brothers Steve Alley and Jose Garcia of Metropolis, IL. In addition to those listed, she was survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aiken's First Baptist Church on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 2:00pm. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will take place immediately following the service at Calvary Cemetery. All are invited to a reception immediately after all services at Newberry Hall, downtown Aiken, SC.
