Michael Christian Olsen
Aiken - Michael Christian Olsen, 30, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Becky and Keith Jones of Forestport, NY; father N. Chris Olsen of North Augusta, SC; and brother Andrew R. Olsen of Warrenville, SC. He is also survived by three step-siblings, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael was a 2010 graduate of South Aiken High School and 2014 graduate of University of South Carolina at Aiken where he was a member of the TKE fraternity. Michael was an avid soccer player, playing on numerous club teams, South Aiken HS, and at USCA. He also played in adult leagues and he also assisted local recreational leagues as a soccer referee and coach.
Michael started has career at the Savannah River Site as an Intern at the Waste Solidification Building. He then started working for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, working his way up to production 1st line manager in the tritium facilities.
The family will receive friends at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, May 14th from 3 until 5 o'clock, followed by a celebration of life at his home. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you send donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name (stjude.org).
