Melvin Sapp Obituary
North Augusta - It's looking to be a beautiful day on the course for Melvin Sapp! It is a very lovely 76 degrees and the sun is shining. As he tees up for his favorite par 5. The course he is playing today, is looking to be as beautiful as Amen Corner in Augusta. The flowers are in full bloom and the green is going to be fast. The only difference is this course has golf cart paths, paved in gold and as Melvin finishes up this beautiful course on the 18th hole, his final putt, a perfect score of 72! He will be greeted at the 19th hole in the clubhouse with a perfectly chilled 33deg. beverages by friends and family members that have played this course before him. No today Melvin will not be receiving a green jacket but he will be receiving his Halo!
Mr. Melvin Lee Sapp, 72, of North Augusta, SC, beloved husband of Mrs. Rebecca Sapp, entered into rest on Friday, November 16, 2018.
Born in Springfield, MO and a VERY PROUD North Augusta, SC, resident, he was a son of the late Ralph Howard, Sr. and Audra Parker Sapp.
He retired from J and J Midsouth, where he was Plant Superintendent. Melvin was a graduate of North Augusta High School and loved golfing, riding his Kawasaki motorcycles, being outdoors and gardening. He especially enjoyed watching others eat what he had planted and watching his grandchildren play. Melvin loved all of his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his seven great-grandchildren, who had a special place in his heart.
In addition to his wife, parents and seven great-grandchildren, family members include his children and their spouses, Melinda and Verne Sadler, Shannon and Brannon Cole and Wendy and Bobby Crawley, all of North Augusta, SC and Beth Moulton and her companion, Travis Hailey, Monroe, NC; a brother and his spouse, Ralph Howard, Jr. and Beverly Sapp, North Augusta, SC and eleven grandchildren.
A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Melvin, will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 6 until 8 o'clock at the family residence.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project AUGUSTA GEORGIA CHAPTER. (woundedwarriorproject.org

Melvin lived across the street from me growing up. He was my best buddy. We had wonderful experiences together. Melvin, I will love you forever and will meet you again in heaven.
