Melba Corley Obituary
AIKEN - Melba Marie Corley, 98; Peacefully passed away at her home Monday, June 9, 2025.
Melba was born September 29, 1926 in Springfield, SC. She was the daughter of the late Sydnie & Lina Blackwell. She had been a loyal member of Shaws Fork Baptist Church since 1976.
Melba was preceded in death by her husband Lee Corley and her son Ronnie Corley. She is survived by her daughters: Paulette C. Beheler (Danny), Gail C. Martin, Jennifer C. Marranci. Grandchildren; Teri C. Laurence (King), Lee Cheeks (Kim), Christian C. Mathis (Jim Bob), Nick Martin, Jason Corley (Jazmyn), Rebecca M. Whitson (Jason), Angela M. Anderson & Whit Corley (Ainsley). Great Grandchildren; Sydnie Laurence, Sarah Laurence, Taylor C. Scott (Austin), Aden Corley (Brooke), Corley Cheeks, JD Mathis, Emma Mathis, Lilly Anderson, Isak Anderson, Asher Anderson, Memphis Corley, Ellis Corley, & Gains Corley. Great-great Grandchild; Tatum Corley. Other survivors include, Leigh Bradsher and Jimmy Marranci.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 13th at 10:30 AM at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801. A celebration of life will be officiated by Reverend Sarah Laurence and King Laurence at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Melba's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens.
