We thank God for the time He gave us with Momma Tolliver and are grateful for the pearls of wisdom she sowed into us in our youth. My deepest condolences to the family. I have loved your mother as long as I could walk to the fence next door. When she would come over to her mom's house. She has always been a loving person. Mrs Tolliver will be sorely missed by the Board members of the Aiken Center for African American History Art and Culture. She was a faithful and dedicated member dating back to the early days of the Center, before the building on York Street was acquired. She was a friend and neighbor for years, a Christian, a person who always supported others, never met a stranger, and loved her family intensely. I will always hold tight to those memories of being over to the house laughing and eating her food and cooking but most of all I will cherish our last conversation. I was visiting her church during a revival and after the service was over I went to greet her and she gave me a Big Hug and say Wade I thought that was you singing in the choir, I must tell Gail that I saw you. We shared some laughs and I left. She will be truly missed .
I pray that Almighty God will continue to strengthen your heart's now and during the days to come.
