Mrs. Mary Sharp Crawford
Warrenville - Mrs. Mary Sharp Crawford, 89, of Warrenville, SC, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. George W. Crawford, a daughter, Wanda DeWall, a son, George Woodward, and three stepsons: George "Buddy" Crawford, Thomas "Stump" Crawford, and Michael Crawford.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 28, 2022, beginning at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 o'clock in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dexter Lambert officiating.
Mrs. Crawford was born in Burke County, Georgia to the late Holley Sharp and Florence Ansley Sharp Morrow. She worked for Murray Biscuit Company and in private home healthcare. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and prior to her health declining, she attended Bath First Baptist Church with her daughter, Joanne. Mrs. Crawford loved flowers and gardening. She had such a green thumb and could make anything grow. She loved being on the porch watching the hummingbirds and wild birds and she loved car rides in the country.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Joanne Woodward, of Warrenville, SC, Judy Hamm, of Wisconsin, Candy Parker, Thomas Woodward (Rita), Clarence Woodward (Karen), all of Warrenville, SC, John Woodward (Leslie), of Johnston, SC; a stepdaughter, Joan Lowe, of Burnettown, SC; a sister, Ruth Denmark, of Morristown, Florida, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank University Home Health who were like family to Mrs. Crawford and her neighbors, Melvin and Brenda.
