MOORESVILLE, NC - Born in Lenoir, NC on November 22, 1924, died September 1st, 2015 after a long battle with dementia. She was the beloved wife of Max White Mayhew for 62 years. She received her R.N. degree from Lowrance Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in the field of nursing in the Mooresville area for forty years. She was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra M. Harris (Anthony) of Aiken, SC and her son, Winston Mayhew (Diane) of Statesville, NC. There are
6 grandchildren, Michelle
Dennis, Elizabeth Schunter, Bradley Mayhew, Scott Mayhew, Jason Mayhew and Phillip Mayhew. In addition, there are 9 great-great-grandchildren surviving.
