TRENTON - Ms. Lucile Cato Rodgers, 104 was united with her Savior on Thursday morning, January 23, 2025. Angel's gently ushered her into the presence of her Savior and Lord.
Ms. Rodgers was born on August 21, 1920, the daughter of the late Leroy & Onie Cato. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken. Ms. Rodgers accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 9 and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church where she remained a member her entire life. At the time of her passing Ms. Rodgers was the oldest living member of the church. She was a homemaker and retired from Graniteville Company.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette (Bill) Staley of Trenton and daughter-in-law, Donie Cook; grandchildren, Beverly Bledsoe (Frank), Myrtle Beach, Tonya Fulmer (Paul), Myrtle Beach, Janice Hartless , Trenton, Larry Lamb (Cheryl), Trenton, Tammy Snipes, Trenton, Eddie Cook, New Holland, Lisa Youngblood (Jake), Aiken; 14 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren and 2 great-great-great grandchildren.
In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband's Herbert Cook and Lake Rodgers. Her brother Robert L. Cato, daughter, Edna Storey, son, Ellis Cook.
Visitation will be at 2:30 PM, followed by funeral services at 3:30 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Napier Funeral Home with Bob Jackson officiating. The interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, she requested that memorials may be made to charitable organization of your choice.
Pallbearers will be Larry Lamb, Tommy Hatcher, Eddie Cook, Christopher Hartless, Zack Snipes, and Bryson Cook.
