Linda Houk
Aiken - Linda Marie Houk, 76, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Linda was born in San Francisco, CA, daughter of the late Chaves Armijo and Katherine Lawson Armijo. She was a graduate of the University of Nevada, and taught American History for 30 years in Reno, NV, retiring in 2000. After retirement, Linda and William wanted to move south, and moved to Aiken, SC 18 years ago. She was very active in charities such as Wounded Warriors, Tunnels to Towers, St. Judes, and the Aiken SPCA. She was an avid reader, interior designer, and master gardener. She also had two holes-in-one at the Reserve Club.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William Lee Houk. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Chaves Armijo, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at The Reserve Club at Woodside.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Aiken SPCA (www.letlovelive.org)

This photo is exactly how I remember her! Countless fun summer memories in Spain and warm homey times in Reno. She was truly a wonderful person and was like family. Love you Billy and miss you Linny. All my love
