Lena McKenzie Obituary
AIKEN - Ms. Lena McKenzie, age 59, daughter of Dock 'Bunk' McKenzie and Omeater Davis McKenzie of 1620 Gray Mare Hollow Rd, Aiken, SC 29803 passed away May 25, 2017 at the University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the St. Mary Baptist Church, 474 Highway 125, Martin, SC 29836 with Rev. Nathaniel Odom, Presiding and Rev. Donald Goode, Eulogist.
Lena attended Aiken County Public Schools and graduated from Aiken High School in 1976. She completed 2 years of college at USC-Aiken. She worked various jobs until employed by Kimberly Clark where she retired. She was a quiet person with a great sense of humor. She made contributions to various organizations, but St. Jude was her favorite charity. She had a soft spot for children. Her presence on this earth will leave a void that cannot be filled.
Those left to remember her life are: her sister, Clarice (Earnest) Simmons; three brothers, Dock (Justine) McKenzie, Arthur (Fannie) McKenize and Benjamin (Annie) McKenzie; in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
