Joseph Smith
JACKSON - Joseph Smith, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Jackson, South Carolina, on July 14, 2025. Born on June 9, 1963, Joseph attended Silver Bluff High School. He worked as an Environmental Specialist at Aiken Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his loving partner of 27 years, Mary Lee Stallings, who stood by his side through life's joys and challenges. He leaves behind two children, Katrina Hankerson and Joseph Dicks. Four grandchildren Wesley, Jaliyah, Jakor, and Jordan. Joseph was the beloved son of the late John H. Smith Sr. and Ida Bell Smith, and a devoted brother to John H. Smith Jr. (Jeannie), Jacqueline Smith-Cato (Charles), Brenda Smith-Walker (Stanley), and Sandra Smith. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members who loved him dearly. A public viewing will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, 314 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, Georgia. A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the same location. Joseph's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
