Joseph Harrah Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Joseph A. Harrah, age 63, of Aiken, S.C., loving son of the late Calvin Harrah, Sr. and the late Anna Lee Dheel Harrah, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2015.
He is survived by sisters, Rose Marie Donovan of Montmorenci, S.C., Phyllis Babiak of Aiken, S.C., Brenda Lee Jordan of Warrenville, S.C. and Penny Lynn Johnson of Aiken, S.C.; brothers, Steven Harrah of Aiken, S.C. and Michael Wayne Harrah of Greenwood, S.C.; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Buford Harrah, Jr. and Eugene Harrah; sisters, Gail Sue Cook and Patricia Ann Harrah.
He was born in West Virginia but has been a resident of Aiken County for over 40 years. He was of the Baptist Faith. He started out delivering for Lominick's Drug Store in Aiken and ended up working as a clerk there for over 30 years. He was a people person with a great personality that accounted for his being loved by all. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 63 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his love ones.
A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. The interment will be private.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice, 690 Medical Park Dr., Suite 400, Aiken, S.C. 29801. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

I worked with Joey for about 4 yrs at Lominicks. He was a pleasure to be around. Shared many fun trios to Lake Murray. He watched my little children grow up, then made my now grown daughter a "Joey fan" as well. I will miss you, what a loving person you were. Godspeed Joey....loved ya buddy. Now you're running all over heaven.

I wasn't expecting to see Joey's obituary while reading the newspaper. His service was earlier today. I surely would have attended it if I had known.
Working with Joey was an absolute pleasure. Such a sweet and kind friend. His happy nature lit up the room ... Always!

My prayers and deepest sympathy for all family members and close friends. I had the pleasure of knowing Joey personally and love the memories I'll have always. Joey was one of a kind. Although he had a disability, he never let it disable him.
