Gloria Banks Obituary

Gloria Jean Banks
LANGLEY- Mrs. Gloria Jean McCravy Banks, 74, wife of Mr. Wayne Banks, Sr, of Augusta Road, Langley, SC, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Aiken, SC to the late Walter McCravy and Evelyn Helminiak. She worked for Seminole Mill, and after retirement later became a private caretaker. She was a member of Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene and served in the Driven by the Spirit Biker Ministry. She enjoyed doing crafts and word find puzzles; but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids. She was known for being a very selfless, loving, and caring Mother and "Granny". Most will remember her for her "Happy Birthday" phone calls.
Surviving with her husband are her children: Wayne "Bucky" E. Banks, Jr (Traci), Sylvia Kulp (Jason), William "Rusty" VanWyck , Tammy Brochu and Lisa Blackburn; siblings, Lee McCravy (Vicky), Bill Creech (Gina), Julian Smith (Elaine), and Lynnette Dill (Bobby); grandchildren: Amanda, Cameron, Dakota, Nathan, Brantson, Dawson, Alex, Conner, Nichole and Caleb; two great-grandchildren and her chihuahua, Baby.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dixie Craig.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2017, at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kyle Poole and Pastor Wayne Cheselka officiating.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the children's, youth, or music ministries of the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene.
The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, 253 Anthony Drive, Warrenville.
Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the Banks family.
