TRENTON - Mr. Gary Broome, 66, beloved husband of Mrs. Robin Rule Broome, of Trenton, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home.
The family will greet friends on Sunday afternoon January 29, 2023, from 4 until 6 at Hatcher Funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life Service will be at noon Monday, January 30, 2023 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 363 Pine Log Road, Beech Island, SC 29842 with Pastor Brandon Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
Left to cherish his memory with his wife Robin are their children: Amanda Broome Kays, of Phillips, WI, and Michael David Broome (Ashley), of Bluffton, SC; his sisters, Cindy Sparling (Patrick), of Rock Hill, SC, Karen Zorn, of Warrenville, SC, and Angela Gunter (Manuel), of Beech Island, SC and three grandchildren, Frank Stuart, Jr, Alexander Kays, and Nolan Broome.
Gary was born in Aiken, SC to the late William Harrison and Helen Georgia Widener Broome. He was a retired machinist with twenty-five-plus years of service and he was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Gary was a baseball and football coach when his son was younger. He loved hunting, fishing, restoring guns, making knives, bow and rodeo competitions, and racing boats, but most of all he loved spending time with his loving wife of 33 years and his family.
