GRANITE FALLS, NC - Frances Estep, age 79 of Granite Falls went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday February 9, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Frances was born in North Augusta, South Carolina on October 27, 1936 to Moody and Clara Hitt. She married Euel Estep in 1966 and together they raised 2 children in West Virginia. In 2003 she and Euel came to North Carolina to be closer to their children and grandchildren. After Euel, the love of her life, became ill Frances dedicated her life to taking care of him. Frances loved spending time with her 2 grandsons and took pride in their accomplishments. She was dedicated to her Lord and regularly attended Mountain Grove Church in Granite Falls.
Frances was a loving mother to her children, Joe Estep and wife Cindy of Charlotte and Sarah Stafford and husband Jimmy of Hudson.
She is also survived by her brother, Gary Hitt and wife Joyce of Belvedere, South Carolina; sister, Emma Williamson and husband Stan of Aiken, South Carolina and grandchildren Aaron Estep of Charlotte and Adam Fox of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Euel Estep.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Reverend Jeff Burkhimer. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mountain Grove Church, 2485 Connelley Springs Rd, Granite Falls, NC 28630.
