Ernest Quattlebaum Law
AIKEN - Ernest Quattlebaum Law, 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Ernest was the son of the late Donald McDonald and Ernestine Bodie Law.
Ernest was born in Aiken, SC and graduated from Aiken High School in 1970 and the University of South Carolina in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics (minor in Computer Science). After college, he worked as a computer programmer for several decades in Columbia, SC and raised his family in Irmo, SC. He moved back to Aiken in the early 2000's and worked at SRNS for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, tutoring math students, researching local and state history and having political discussions.
Ernest was a very devoted, loving father to his two sons, Gregg and Joseph. He was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Dean, Vivian and Julia. He also loved his brothers, McDonald and Charlie, nephews and nieces, many Law family cousins along with his many friends and classmates from Aiken. He was a huge South Carolina Gamecocks sports fan. He was also a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Aiken and very open about his Christian faith.
He is survived by his sons, Gregg Law and Joseph (Brittany) Law; grandchildren, Dean Law, Vivian Law, Julia Law; brothers, McDonald (Ilona) Law and Charlie (Kathy) Law.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, March 4 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church followed by visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 526 Hitchcock Pkwy, Aiken, SC 29801.
