AIKEN - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Edwin V. Martinez de Andino Carrion, a beloved father, husband, and friend who left us on 1 November 2024 at the age of 63 years old.
Dr. Martinez de Andino was born on 30 June 1961 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and through his life, he embodied kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
Dr. Martinez de Andino was a man of integrity, a true friend, and a pillar of strength to everyone who knew him. His presence lit up every room, and he brought joy to those around him with his laughter and warmth. He left a lasting legacy that touched countless lives.
Above all, he was a devoted father and husband who cherished his family deeply. He taught usresilience, humility, and the value of compassion. His wisdom, humor, and endless support have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
As we remember Dr. Martinez de Andino, we reflect on the many moments that defined his beautiful life. Whether it was dancing, being at the lake, cooking, hosting pool parties, seeing Christmas lights, or most importantly being with his family, he approached every day with joy and a spirit of generosity.
Though he may no longer be with us, his love and legacy will live on in the lives of all who knew him. We are grateful for the time we shared, and we will carry his memory with us always.
Survivors include his wife, Nicole Martinez de Andino three sons, Edwin Victor, Ricardo Antonio, and Alejandro David a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dr. Edwin V. Martinez de Andino's honor to a charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 8 November 2024 at Posey Funeral Home, 1307 Georgia Avenue North Augusta, South Carolina Visitation 3:30 pm, Funeral Service 5:00pm

I was a patient of Dr. Martinez de Andino. He was a wonderful doctor, very caring. He will be greatly missed. I am still shocked about his death. I had just been in to see him a few weeks prior. We had a brief chat about having boys.

Edwin became a friend after treating my mother's terminal illness. he was the first of her doctors to give it to tell me the whole truth. Then he became a customer, and we had trust in each other. He made the Aiken medical community better, and we were blessed to have him serve our area.

Throughout the course of many decades Edwin served a cause greater than self. Edwin once said "Everyone is on this Earth for a purpose". Additionally, "No patient is ever a mere customer".
