Edward Gerard Conan
AIKEN, SC - Edward Gerard Conan, 78, beloved husband of Maryanne Conan, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Syracuse, NY, Edward lived most of his life in Pompey and Fayetteville, NY until moving to Aiken, SC in 2002. He retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Central NY as Vice President of Corporate Services after a 38 year career. Edward was a member of Woodside Plantation Country Club and St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. He was a former member of The Pompey Club, Pompey, NY.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Maryanne, include a daughter, Melissa Conan Riveglia, Aiken, a son,
Gerard Conan, Aiken; two grandchildren, Joseph and Nicholas Riveglia; two sisters, Elizabeth Bullion,
Dewitt, NY; Mary Helen Palladino, Pompey, NY; a brother, Donald Francis Conan, Jr., Syracuse, NY. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Weaver and his son-in-law, Thomas Riveglia.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 17th at 11:30 AM at the old St. Mary Help of Christians Church on Park Avenue. Interment will be at a later date in Pompey, NY.
