Doris Filmon Obituary
AIKEN - Doris Duncan Filmon, age 93, passed away August 12, 2022.
Mrs. Filmon was born October 4, 1928, in Greenville, SC to the late Fred and Viola Duncan. She was the Pastor's secretary at Aiken's First Baptist Church for 25 years. She loved to travel.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Loy W. Filmon Jr.; two sons, Wayne Filmon (Erica) and Jeffery Filmon; five grandchildren, Jennifer Filmon, Josh Johnson (Emily), Kristy Rowe, Brett Ross (Jordan), and Katie Massotti (Pasquale); and great-grandchildren, Joseph Isenhoward, Ashley Isenhoward, Colton Johnson, Kylie Johnson, Brody Twitty, Isabella Massotti, Eric Massotti, Lillian Massotti, Gavin Rowe, Blakeleigh Ross, Brenna Ross, and Carolina Ross.
A memorial service will be held at Aiken's First Baptist Church on August 27, 2022, at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and/or the Autism Society of America.
The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.

Loy, Wayne and Jeffrey - we were so saddened to learn that Doris has made her final trip - and this one the very best of all. Though we haven´t seen you all that much lately we frequently recall the wonderful memories of years past. Doris was always such a trooper - never one to let the difficulties of her early life slow her down. We were blessed to call her friend! You all will be in our prayers as you make the adjustments she would expect you to make.

Loy, my heart is broken, I loved you and Doris so very much. We had some wonderful trips with the two of you. I will forever remember our cruises, and time share trips, but most of all just being together. Doris loved laughter and was such a joy to be with. So sorry for your loss. The picture she gave me is hanging in a special place in my home. Thanks to Covid, × were not able to see each other for a while, but we will see her again.
